The calculators do not send anything anywhere

Every tool on this site computes in your browser. The pit dimensions, the timed rise, the lift and run, the battery figures, the valuations you enter on the exposure page — none of it is transmitted, none of it is stored on a server, and none of it reaches us.

The practical consequence is that we genuinely cannot see what you entered. If you write to us about a specific result, you will need to include the inputs, because there is no record of them on our side.

Nothing you type is written to browser storage or to a cookie either. Reloading the page returns the tools to their published defaults.

What is collected

No account is required and none is offered. There is no login, no newsletter signup, and no form that submits data to a server.

Ordinary web server logs are generated when a page is requested, as they are for any website. These typically include the requested address, a timestamp, a referring page if there is one, and a user-agent string. They are used to keep the site running and to understand which pages are read.

If you send an email, we hold that email in order to reply to it. It is not added to any list.

Cookies and tracking

This build sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics script, no tag manager, and no advertising code. There is nothing to opt out of because there is nothing running.

No advertising code runs on this site today. If this site is approved for Google AdSense, Google AdSense will serve advertisements on it, and this policy's advertising section will be updated in the same deploy that adds any advertising code.

If Google AdSense is approved and enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other sites where consent permits personalization.

Visitors can control personalized Google advertising at https://adssettings.google.com and can review industry opt-out choices at https://www.aboutads.info. Those Google-operated controls exist independently of this site and work whether or not this site shows ads.

No third-party script is loaded on any page. The site's stylesheet and its small calculator bundle are served from the same domain as the page, and there are no embedded fonts, maps, videos, or widgets from anywhere else.

Advertising

No advertising is served on this site at present, and no advertising or consent-management code is loaded by any page in this build.

If advertising is introduced, the code and this policy will change in the same deployment. This section will describe what is actually running — which advertising partner, what data that involves, and how to exercise the choices available — before any ad script is served to anybody. This policy will never describe advertising that is not live, and it will never omit advertising that is.

Links to other sites

Pages here link to source documents, mostly federal agency pages, so you can check quotes against the original. Following a link takes you to a site with its own policy, over which we have no control and no visibility.

We do not participate in affiliate programmes and no outbound link on this site earns anything.

Children

This is a tool for planning building work and is not directed at children. No information is knowingly collected from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version is published here and the site-wide review date at the foot of every page moves with it. Material changes to what is collected or what runs on the page are made in the same deployment as the change itself, never in advance of it and never after.
